New uku players with ukulele and music games

Ukulele Kids I Learning Goals:

* Experience music with our whole body

* Feel free, have fun and be creative with sound and imagination

* Know parts of the ukulele and the care of the instrument

* Develop good habits of posture and position

* Express music through strumming and other sounds through ukulele

* Become able to keep beat and rhythm, beginning to read and write rhythmic notation

* Sing and explore our voice

* Master chords: C major, A minor, F major and G7 chords

(9 & up, who have mastered Uku Kids I skills) with ukulele and music games

Ukulele Kids II Learning Goals:

* Build on the Ukulele Kids I Learning Goals above

* Master further strum patterns (straight vs. swing, down-up patterns)

* Begin to pick melody, identifying notes on the fretboard

* Begin to read notes on the staff and TAB notation

(9 to teen, who have mastered Uku Kids II skills) with ukulele and music activities

Ukulele Kids III Learning Goals:

* Build on the Ukulele Kids II Learning Goals above

* Master further strum patterns

* Learn basic picking patterns

* Continue to pick melody, identifying notes on the fretboard

* Continue to develop sight-reading skills and rhythm patterns

* Develop skills in playing by ear, hearing melody and learning further chord patterns
