Grand Staff Hotel

A full 21-note memory system within a story framework

If you have had enough of the EGBDF lines-and-spaces method of memorizing notes on the music staff, Linnea's unique method may hold the solution.

Meet Cece, Dido and Evie - three friends who live at the Grand Staff Hotel. No ordinary place, this hotel holds a host of characters, rooms, living spaces and objects, all of which together form a story context - a grid for placing notes on the staff.

The hotel and its bass-ment are layered along the lines and spaces of the treble and bass staves - the grand staff. And within its walls, Cece and Dido and Evie become friends in a most interesting series of events. But when the Rat Orchestra of New Brunswick is scheduled to perform on the new hotel stage on Friday nights, a Mystery comes with them. Can we discover who has committed the crime and learn all 21 notes on the staff?

These six videos are for your free use. They come with an available study programme for individual, studio or classroom use [coming up].
